My path into this work began with an interest in self-exploration, which led me to study psychology and related fields. I hold a master’s degree in clinical psychology, with a specialization in health and sexuality, and a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
My training in sociology helped me better understand the social, cultural, and structural forces that shape mental health. As a result, my work integrates psychological, relational, sociocultural, emotional, and spiritual dimensions.
I have explored a range of therapeutic approaches and bring years of experience in yoga, dance, art, and meditation. These personal and professional practices inform and enrich my work with clients.
I have worked with individuals across diverse experiences of sex, gender, and relationships, including those in the sex industry, as well as those navigating relationship challenges and stigma.
While these are areas of focus, they do not define the full scope of my work or the adults I support.
My Approach
My approach to mental health is holistic, grounded in the connection between mind, body, spirit and the environment. I see us as deeply connected—to the natural world, to other living beings, to one another, and to our inner sense of meaning.
I understand mental health as closely intertwined with physical, emotional, environmental, and spiritual well-being: what we experience in the mind and heart is reflected in the body and in our surroundings, and vice versa. My work is guided by these principles.
My Experience
I experimented with diverse therapeutic perspectives and have many years of experience in yoga (registered yoga teacher at the 200 hour level), dance, art, and meditation. These personal and professional experiences are now integrated in my work to support people in their life journeys.
I have experience connecting with sex, gender, and relationship diverse individuals, people working in the sex industry and with persons struggling with relationship concerns and stigma.
Although I specialize in these areas, this is not a comprehensive list of the issues and the adults I work with.
